Clan Battles guidelines:

I have come up with a list of rules and guidelines that will form the basis of the rules when we war another clan. These rules/guidelines are negotiable, and when we war a clan, both clans must agree on the rules prior to the war taking place.
These rules and guidelines will help to stop the verbal war that happens when something fucks up during a battle, because things hadn't been organised properly in the first place.

1. Accepting Challenges and Negotiating Terms

Clans are built for war; all clans should war. All terms are negotiable; clans are expected to compromise on time, date, level, and specifications.
A challenged clan must respond to a challenger within two days of the invitation to battle.
The battle date should be set no later than one week from the time of the challenge; few clans are that busy. Clans that are not able to answer wars under these terms, because of time conflicts or otherwise, should perhaps recruit more members to give them more flexibility.
The time and date of the battle must be agreeable to both sides. If these basic three are totally incompatible, the clans cannot war. Some clans clans don't war during certain days of the week. Compromise if you can, and if it's impossible then you play in different worlds and you can both agree to not battle at this time. ALL other terms are negotiable.
ANY deviation from the standard rules must be agreed upon by BOTH teams, otherwise the standard Rules are what goes, and any team who can't meet them forfeits that war.

2. Cheating

Absolutely NO cheating will be tolerated, if you violate this rule you will be banned from the Rakion!

3. Player Additude and Language

This has always been an issue in clan play. Sometimes people get a little excited and say things that perhaps they shouldn't have. But here is the rule: All players will be friendly and respectful to all other players. No spamming, cut down the bad language to a minimum, no racism or biggotry. Now read it again. It's not the adults doing this; it's the kids who think saying this crap makes them adult. Chat transcripts and war demos are real easy to review.
We are here to play a game. It is meant to be fun. And this is currently the most-common occurance complained about that makes wars not fun to play. The racist slander, comments about individuals' sexual preference or parentage, and all the other 'colorful metaphors' are not part of the game and offensive. Stop it. We're here to play a game of skill, tactics, and stragedy. If you want to chat go to IRC. If you can't keep it friendly and fun you will be removed.

4. All participants must demonstrate good sportsmanship...win with humility, lose with dignity.

You can be having a good time and exchange taunts during a game as long as all understand the nature of the commuication. If both sides aren't laughing, you just fucked up. It is hard to understand the intent of sarcasm in typed text; when in doubt, don't do it. It all comes down to the level of enjoyment each game has for the players. The moment it's not fun, the moment it's not a game you play because you like it, the moment the numbers, rank, stats or title take precidence over the play itself, that is the moment you should not be playing. And if someone else causes you to have a bad game, they are in error. We are now the 'fun police,' and we will boot you from our care bear world if you cannot be cool about it.

5. Participants

All teams MUST show up for their scheduled matches. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit.
Battle typically include 6 members from each clan. If one clan can't play, they can either choose to play with the people they have, or they forfeit the battle, handing the other side the victory.

Players can only be members of one clan at a time. Mercenaries are not allowed. The issue is clan identity, and "guest players" are not allowed. If a clan is found to have players warring who aren't in that clan, they forfeit the battle and the lame act will be posted for all to see.

Clan Leaders are responsible for ensuring that ALL participants read these rules, no-one has time to baby-sit every single person who doesn't know when, where, and against whom they are playing.

6. Posting Results

It is strongly advised that both clans take screenshots of the rankings in case of a dispute.
Recording demos is important. It is suggested that both clans record at least one demo for every war they play. If you have a problem with the play of another clan, simply send in your demo.
Results can be posted whereever the clans choose, be it on their website, messages boards, etc.

7. Misconduct Review

Complaints from separate sources about a clan breaking these rules will result in a review by the admin staff of the EPI clan. If it is determined that the clan is guilty of misconduct, one or all members may be banned from the clan. Clan leaders are responsible for the actions of their members. If it is apparent that individuals are responsible for a problem, and not the entire clan, and the clan in question chooses to remove those players from their roster of players, then the entire clan will not be held responsible for the actions of those players while in the clan's service. If at any point a clan leader fails to handle the problems internal to his or her clan that are making it difficult for other clans to battle them, then the entire clan will be held responsible

These rules are property of EPI clan and can not be copied in any form !
