East Field, 3rd June 2007
All these shots were taken on the afternoon of the day the formation
was found. And yes, the date-stamp on the camera is wrong.
The horror... The horror... Is that Adam's Grave on the horizon? Why, yes it is.
Mistah Mowing Devil - he dead.
I don't know who this woman is; more to the point, I don't know how she manages to keep that BOL at third-eye level. [Editorial Note]: To clarify, in response to email enquiries we've had; the BOL is nothing arcane. It's a juggling ball. She's juggling. Darren was being flippant. Who'd have thought?
Lay lady lay. Yatesbury, Wiltshire, created
30th May 2007 though visited and photographed 3rd June 2007
The view from the edge of the field, showing the single circle.
Back in the day a single circle was termed a 'singleton', or a 'valerie' as
it was affectionately known to the more serious crop circle researcher.
At least from this angle you can't see the fact that some muppet has trodden a path straight from field-edge to the formation (Tsk! Youngsters these days! Mowing Devil forgive them, they know not what they do). Nor can you see that the standing section (visible in the aerials) between tramline and circle has been trodden through. Honestly... What's the point of making these discrete circles positioned between trams if croppies are just going to deface them?
The lay. Trodden by visitors, but recovering nicely.
The centre. It looks like somebody sat in it. Was it
you? I hope not. It's a 'temporary temple' if you want it to
be and you repay that by planting your ass in it? Shameful behaviour.
Or maybe the point.
The edge, where standing crop meets flattened crop. As it
does.
On knees and peeling back crop to look at how it's laid.
And noting, favourably, that it's laid nicely and flattened close to the ground
but with minimal breakage.
Stuck inside of Yatesbury with the stomped crop blues again.
The view from ground level.
The view from the tramline.
The barley formation in the adjacent field, which I snapped from the tramline but didn't go in.
The circle on the bottom half of this shot is one of the ones that overlaps the edge of the field. Right. Shall we go to The Barge now? Who's round is it? |
