Well once again it rained pretty heavily in York yesterday and overnight. Once again the track is in terrible condition due to all this rain. Therefore we do have to cancel races for today Sunday June 21, 2009. We apoligize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I guess this means all you dads out there have a day just to sit back, relax and enjoy your day. The State Qualifier of August 2nd has been moved to August 9th.

More bad weather for Friday. Tonight's race has been canceled. It looks like Saturday and Sunday will be dry. But we need lots of help getting the track ready. All of this constant rain has taken it's toll on the track and hasn't given us time to work on it. Registration starts at 11 am on Saturday, but please come early to help work on the track. Hello Everyone, I am writing you today to inform everyone that we do need to cancel races for this evening (Wednesday, June 3rd) and practice for tomorrow evening (Thursday, June 4th) due to the severe thunderstorm that went through the area yesterday evening (Tuesday, June 2nd). There is a lot of work that has to be preformed on the track to have it race ready for this Big Multipoint Weekend coming this weekend. We do apoligize for any inconvenience this has caused anyone. We are also asking for anyone who can help work on the track at all to please contact Chad Gay to find out what time he will be out there working. All help is so greatly appreciated and it only helps to make the track even smoother for you to race on. Thank you in advance for all your help and we look forward to seeing you this weekend. Good Morning Everyone, As you know we have had weeks of rain with a few days of sunshine. Well late last night we had some more heavy rain come through the area. Given the fact that the track was already saturated from before and then with last nights rain added in to the mix we have been forced to cancel today's race as well. The track has several soft spots on it as well as some big water puddles left from the overnight rains. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused anyone. We are hoping the weather soon clears up so we can all get out there and have some fun. We have started our Wednesday night races so we do hope to see you there Wednesday. Have a great week.

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meeting has been scheduled for next Thursday (April 30th) at 7 pm at the track to prepare for the 3-day weekend coming up on May 8, 9 and 10

Are you looking for a way to help at the track? Do you have some spare time? Do you have a weed wacker? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we are looking for you. We are having a weed wacking party on May 2nd and May 3rd (if necessary) @ 9:00 AM both days. We are hoping to get it all done on the first day if possible so whether it be you are looking for a way to help or you do have a weed wacker and are willing to help we would greatly appreciate it. As you know we were rained out last week and had rain most of this week and it left the track in sad shape. IMMEDIATE HELP NEEDED!!!!! We know how everyone wants to race but due to last week's storm, the track took a beating and is in dire need of some work in order to be able to race on Sunday 04/05/09. We are hosting a work party on Saturday morning (04/04/09) at 9:00 AM. If you can help at all PLEASE call Chad Gay at 717-577-6480 as soon as possible to let him know. OPENING DAY - ~~SUNDAY MARCH 29~~ new date April 5, 2009 - (WEATHER PERMITTING)

We will be racing Sundays with sign-ups 12 Noon to 1:30 PM, Racing ASAP after close of sign-ups.

Our first Wednesday race will be May 6^th - Wednesday night sign-ups are 6 PM to 7 PM. Racing ASAP after close of sign-ups.

Our all volunteer Parents Association meets the first Thursday of every month at 7pm. May thru racing season at the track (in the winter months we have been meeting at Old Country Buffet on U.S. 30 in York, PA)

Please check your Membership Card (must be presented to race all ABA events) to see if you need to renew. We receive 5 points for every renewal and 10 points for every new member. So start talking to your friends at school and at your other activities. Don't forget your other family members. You know how Mom and Dad are all the time encouraging you to pedal? Maybe you could suggest that they get a bike and race with you. It could be a lot of fun for the whole family.

As always, help is needed to work on the track. If you could help with the upkeep of the track or would like to be contacted about work parties, please contact Chad, Mike or Rich and they will call or E-Mail you when they will be at the track. WE really need help weed whacking. Thursday practice night is a good night to bring weed whackers and help out. Most race days we need people to man the track as officials and to water the track. We also need First-Aid or EMT people to man the track "especially" at big races.
